چکیده
Poverty is a multidimensional one, which means that the poor can suffer multiple disadvantages at same time. This paper aims to further develop and refine poverty measure using Fuzzy Sets Theory (FST). The application of FST starts with properly conveying realities attributes inequality proposing appropriate justified membership functions for both variables. And then, applying fuzzy rules integrate in measures. We obtain class integrated indices. An based on individual well-being data from Tunisian households 2015 presented illustrate use proposed concepts.

Proposal for new multidimensional and fuzzy measures of poverty and inequality at national and regional level
This paper provides a step-by-step account of how fuzzy measures of monetary poverty and nonmonetary deprivation may be constructed based on survey data such as from EU-SILC. For non-monetary deprivation, meaning dimensions or groupings of initial items of deprivation are identified using explanatory and confirmatory factor analyses, and a weighting system is applied for the aggregation individ...
متن کاملMultidimensional Poverty with Missing Attributes∗
We show how to minimize the probability of misclassifying individuals as being poor or not poor when data on some of their relevant attributes are missing, but an estimate of the population distribution of attributes is available. JEL Classification Codes: D63, I32

The MPI is the answer to the call for a multidimensional view of poverty (Sen and Anand, 1997). متن کاملThe value-added of multidimensional poverty measures
We’ve been asked to produce a brief and informal summary of an exchange between ourselves and Martin Ravallion, who is currently Acting Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank. Our exchange concerned whether our group’s efforts to incorporate multiple dimensions into the very definition of who is po...
